Providing a home for Vraja’s abandoned bulls and cows
Our Project
Cow Shelter
We provide a safe home and food for 100 formerly-homeless bulls and cows in Sri Vrindavan Dham. Most of them came to us by themselves very malnourished and looking for food, some were brought to us as emergencies with serious injuries.
Street Feeding
We also feed bulls still living on the street fresh grass and tasty wheat bran and barley flour, which is often their only alternative to eating plastic and garbage left on the road.
Local Home School
We provide education for local children who do not attend public school and would otherwise be illiterate or sent out to work. Classes include reading and writing, music, drama, Sanskrit, Hindi, English and mathematics.
“Cow protection is not just to not slaughter the cows, but to make them happy from the moment they are born till they naturally leave their bodies.”
To Vrajasevika, cows and bulls are as essential as air and water. Caring for these gentle and sacred beings is not simply a responsibility, but the very heart of her life.
More than 20 years ago, she came from Germany to Vrindavan to learn how to live a simple life in loving service to the Lord Sri Krishna, and all living beings who are so dear to Him. Over the years, the bulls of Braj have become far more than animals in her care — they have become her companions, teachers, well-wishers, and cherished family members.
